My name is Jon Kaletka. I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan working with Dr. Mary O'Riordan. My project focuses on the host immunometabolism response to Staphylococcus aureus infection in diabetic macrophages. I earned my PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Michigan State University in 2022. Before that, I received my Bachelor's in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My career goal is to become a teaching professor at a university. In my free time I enjoy playing and watching sports, traveling, camping and spending time with my family and my dog, Nike.
